Tilie and Kevin are enagaged! Tilie and Kevin wanted their enagagement session to start at Grace Studio. We photographed for about half an hour and then headed for beautiful Furman University. The weather was bright and sunny! (The curse of a photographer!) We strolled to the Japanse gardens and then down to the Furman clock tower taking photos all along the way. Tilie and Kevin were fun and full of life. Their wedding is only a month or so away!

Katie and Drew Engagement Shoot at Paris Mountain
Katie and Drew met me at Paris Mountain State Park for their engagement photo session. We had bad luck with the weather the weekend before, so we were determined to enjoy the park today. Katie and Drew first took us to the bridge where he proposed. I love getting shots like that. A photo of the couple right where they first started there journey toward being together forever…I am such a romantic! Be when he proposed there last year, it looked very different. It had snowed! We then walked to the outdoor amphitheater and played around the trees. Peek a boo seems so silly as an adult, but if I make you do it for a photo, it creates such wonderful laughter and smiles. Yum. We finally hiked over to the dam. A beautiful shady spot for some more romantic photos. I torchered them by asking them not to kiss for a few minutes. They were so close, but no kiss yet please…finally I let them make up for lost time. The photos were wonderful. Such a look into each others eyes. Love, passion, gosh I love my job.

Misty's Cliffs at Glassy Bridal Shoot
Misty grew up in Upstate South Carolina. As a child, she would hike with her parents to the top of Glassy Mountain and have a picnic lunch. Through the years, she spent many hours up on the cliffs with her family enjoying the mountain view. Later, the area was developed into a residential community. For her bridal shoot, I surprised her by taking her into the Cliffs at Glassy Mountain Residential Community and to the top of the mountain. Here, near the Cliffs Chapel, we did a photo shoot that was memorable for it’s beauty and for it’s emotional connection to Misty. Her whole family came and watched and joined in on the memories from the years past to now, the beginning of a whole new life with her husband to be, Robert.

Snow in SC is a rare thing...
As a photographer, I look for the rare shot. Snow in SC is a rare thing. Do I stay home with my wife and child, safe and warm? No. I can’t resist the urge to do some winter weather photography! Here are a few shots from downtown Greenville SC in the middle of a snow storm that has shut down every school in the area.
